Reliant Building Solutions is back in an Atlanta hospital, augmenting the structure. This time, we were tasked with applying carbon fiber to beams to support new equipment on the floor above. Carbon Fiber strengthening can be a great option – when the epoxy used to bond it to the concrete is fully cured, the system is stronger than steel, yet it takes up only 3/8 inch of space. Before/after picture here shows the beams that were strengthened.
